Last year you came to us
A generous donor sent you free.
You got us through last winter
When the snow was really deep
We sweated through the summer
When the A/C went beserk
But traveling down the road was fun
Riding high! On our face a little smirk.
So today we pay you homage
For the miles you carried us through
We couldn't have done without you
You have been strong and true.
So now on Mike's last day of work
You gave up the grease and died
God's perfect timing in this story
One car will keep us satisfied.
(We had to laugh today and thank God for His perfect timing. The Suburban, with 213,000 miles, lasted until we really didn't need it anymore. Coincidence? No - A Godincidence!)

Help Us Finish Our House

These pictures show the progress of our house in Peru. When we left in March there were only holes in the ground. In July, on another visit, the walls were starting to go up. The last picture shows the most recent progress.
We need $30,000 in 30 days, so we can finish this building and be able to move in the first week of January 2011.
Please help us by donating and also by sharing with others this need.
To donate go to http://www.incalink.net/inca_link_international/donate.html
Once you have donated, send Inca Link an email at incalink@gmail.com and tell them how much you donated and that it is for the Kimbro's house.
We are excited to see how God is going to raise this money.

Saturday Photo Hunt
This weeks theme is "Public". These photos was taken in a public park in Lima, Peru. A tree trunk had been carved into a clown. This is the same tree trunk, just different sides of the tree. Pretty cool! See more "Public" photos here.

Moths and Other Night Animals!
Among all the exciting experiences at Cherokee Cove, is our day in and day out discovery of God's amazing creatures.
Today we had a look at the Luna moth. I've never seen one except in pictures, so I was extremely excited when my second eldest son brought this fine specimen home. This moth was absolutely breathtaking. God is so creative!
Once this fuzzy antennae creature was forgotten, we were looking at every moth on the porch. My youngest son found one with shiny, silver spots on his wings. Why would God put shiny silver spots on the wings of a moth? Is there anyone out there that knows about a moth who has shiny silver spots on his wings? Leave a comment.
In a future blog entry I might share my encounter with a wolf spider. However, I will not be getting close enough to take a picture.

"Hey Mom! Today is my birthday. I'm so excited!"
Four years ago we traveled to China to pick up our son. These four years have flown by with both laughter and tears. My thoughts keep going back to those three years he was in an orphanage, without a family, and I cry to God thanking Him that this little boy is now part of our family.
With a grateful heart I am dedicating today's blog to him; the day we celebrate his birthday. Praying for his birth family comes to mind immediately. I pray that one day he will meet them in heaven.

Happy Memorial Day! This weekend remember those veterans who fought, so this flag can still wave.
